Okay, I'm going to put up a little thing of the full overview of Castle Umbral's structure. Here it is:
Castle Umbral is located on an island in the middle of a lake, mostly cloaked in fog to hide it from enemies. It is ruled by Lord Umbris, the Dark Prince, alongside the noble Lady Aeldithia and his royal consort, Count Dementicus. Lord Umbris and his army of shadow beings and hellfiends took over the castle and destroyed the large village below. Umbris had the castle redone in his image, and the castle always seems to be cloaked by darkness, even in broad daylight.
The Foyer:
Huge columns and arches decorate the castle's foyer, like the inside of a cathedral, with runes of protection inscribed into them.
A huge, heavily decorated carpet adorns the pathway to the throne room, woven into it is a picture of a huge, three headed beast, crushing villages, eating some of the villagers and inspiring terror in others.
The ceiling is made out of stained glass, in the shape of a darkly clothed woman holding a rose in her long claws, her deep purple eyes looking down on all below.
Banners adorn the lot, a ferocious shadow beast with silvery eyes glaring out at all who passed through.
A pair of black marble stairs, going in opposite directions, stand on either side of the main path, leading up to the castle's many other floors.
The Throne Room:
Like the foyer, the throne room also has huge columns and arches, but they are more decorated, adorned with spirals of blood rubies and star sapphire.
Statues of gargoyles stand between each arch, claws and fangs out as if they were ready to leap out at an invisible enemy.
Runes are inscribed in each of them, glowing an ominous green when they were approached.
These runes can be invoked by a word in the Therian language, causing the gargoyles to leap from their pedestals and attack intruders.
The rug was made of darkly stained violet thread, and adorned with the picture of yet another shadow beast, this one standing up, dressed in silver armor and wielding a jet black sword.
The ceiling above was also stained glass, but seemed to curve inward, like the inside of a dome.
It depicted a jet black bird, seeming alight with shadow fire, with ruby red eyes and feather tips.
At the far end, a golden throne sat atop a small set of steps, the rug ending at the foot of the throne.
Behind it were more banners, depicting fierce wyverns and griffins battling.
The Inner Sanctum:
There is a crystal statue located about a few feet away from the throne itself.
The statue is of a giant Cerberus type creature, in a pouncing position with all three mouths open.
The mouths are actually the keys to the inner sanctum. Three gems, which are in the hands of the castle’s keepers, are needed to open it.
The gems, a blood ruby, a star sapphire, and a jade emerald are placed inside each mouth, but it has to be in a certain order.
If the order is wrong, a vile poisonous gas is released from each mouth, or acidic black blood will gush out of the mouths, or the statue will come to life and attack with a sonic roar that sends anyone in range flying to the castle’s foyer, or it will tear free of its pedestal and attack on its own.
If anyone attempts to use magic to get into the Inner Sanctum, the statue will glow a bright white, cancelling out the spell, and will attack.
When successful, the statue will slide over to one side, revealing a staircase leading down to an underground tunnel.
The tunnel leads to a secret sanctum designed like a library. There are shelves with over 10,000 tomes, grimoires, novels, and all types of books.
One of the shelves has a book with a platinum bound cover, that, when pulled, will cause the shelf to slide outward, like a door. Inside it is a secret room filled with potions of all kinds, love potions, necrotic potions, and any type of potion you need will be found here.
There is also several shelves filled with all kinds of reagents and components needed for witchcrafting, alchemy, and other magic rituals.
Powdered unicorn’s horn, phoenix ashes, aurora water, essence of hemlock, and so many more that they can’t all be listed.

Aeldithia’s Study:
The Lady Aeldithia has a study of her own in the tallest tower of the castle.
It’s like a mini library, full of books of all kinds.
There is a secret potion shelf behind the right wall, when enough pressure is applied to a certain spot, the wall section slides away, revealing a stone shelf full of potions.
There is a desk located near the door, where Aeldithia carries out her experiments, making potions and taking notes.
She keeps her developing experiment, a demon named Severent, chained to twelve silver stakes.
Aeldithia feeds him animals of all kinds, which are trapped in a cage until its feeding time.
A single window looks out towards the lake, and has two small shutters made of stained glass that swing out and close like doors, in case Aeldithia wants to look out the window at the lake and the walls and watchtowers, or she closes them during her experimenting.
The Gate:
The gate’s structure is odd, the origin of it or its creator is unknown to this very day.
The gate has been made to look like the maw of a hungry beast, possibly to ward off intruders.
It is made out a mysterious black iron, and has two statues on either side of the entrance.
The statues come alive when someone approaches the gate. They’d look the person over and would sniff the air for a familiar scent.
If the person is familiar, they are welcomed and escorted into the castle.
If the person is unfamiliar, they are an intruder, and the stone creatures attack.
The creatures look like gargoyles, if not more so deformed and twisted as far as appearance, and are ruthless in battle, even risking being destroyed to protect their master’s castle.
The Wall:
Castle Umbral is surrounded by a 17 ft. high wall, with watchtowers built in along all sides and parts of it.
The wall’s architecture is every bit as Gothic-styled as the castle itself.
Lycan guards patrol the walltops, being able to scent intruders from afar, and Demonic Howlers watch from the towers, able to spot and scent intruders from afar, and are able to unleash a scream to drive them into the lake or a good enough distance away from the wall.
The Lycan guards carry all kinds of weapons, but throwable weapons or long weapons, like spears, javelins, and pikes, are highly favored.
The Howlers use their claws and ferocious fangs and sonic screams in battle.
There are ruins of what was a large village below the wall, having been plundered and burned to the ground when Umbris and his army took over.
Nobody knows for sure if the village’s residents were all killed or were taken as slaves.
However, Umbris does own a slaveyard located behind the castle.
The Slaveyard:
It was inevitable, yes; Umbris took the villagers into slavery.
Maids serve Umbris and the higher authority figures, cooking food, cleaning the floors, etc.
Other slaves work in the mines located in an enclosed area between the back of the castle and the northernmost wall.
The mine is a great source of crystal building materials, like diamonds and garnets.
They are then put to work by carving the crystals into statues, weapons, gemstones, etc.
The slaves are closely guarded by the Daguldors, allies of Umbris. They enjoy whipping the slaves and shouting orders at them, and slaves are beaten badly when they try to escape before being roughly shoved back into their compound, followed by an insult or two.
Daguldors consider all other beings but themselves and their allies as filthy, and hate being touched by ‘unclean, dirty, scavenging muckrats,’ which they consider humans and other beings they believe fall below them.
They are a strongly militaristic race, going through harsh training everyday of their lives from birth.
They are strong as any iron, and are notoriously vile-tempered. They demand tribute payments from the slaves, 3000 crystals. Those who don’t have sufficient funds must sacrifice one of their children, or they are sacrificed themselves if they have no more children.
Daguldors are also hired to patrol the walls as reinforcements for the Lycan Guards.
