Name: Vol' Karath
Sex: Male
Age: Undetermined
Race: Human
Subrace: Undead
Eye Color: Blood Red
Skin Color: Translucent white skin
Hair Color: Dark Black
Class: Necromancer/ Warlock
Hometown: Unknown
History: Vol' Karath has no memory of his past life, only that he learned necromancy and the warlock spells from an ancient master. He killed his master when the time came, as the master requested that his powers to be transferred to Vol' Karath's being. Bereft of any powers, the old master died, shriveled up as the magics that were a part of him disappeared. Vol' Karath wandered alone since, looking to increase his powers, helping the needy while he was at it.
Appearances: Secrets of the Darkest Hearts.
Abilities:
Summon Undead
With the mastery of necromancy comes the mastery of controlling and summoning of the dead. At first, Vol' Karath can only summon one undead, and even that only a rat. As he gained power, he can now summon a legion of undead. They can take many forms, be it animal or sentient beings.
Earth Shatter
As a Warlock, he can shift the particles and command them on his whim. Using this power, he can cause from slight tremors to powerful earthquakes. If he unleashes his full power, the whole land might conceivably be ripped apart.
Dark Mist Barrier
Calling upon the spirits of the dead, Vol' Karath can create a barrier so powerful as to be completely impregnable. However, as the spirits blocks the user from within, so it protects those from without. Anyone attempting to attack within the safety of the Barrier would find the attack rebounding towards himself. Any contact from anyone except Vol' Karath would find their flesh decaying and die which would consume them.
False Real Illusion
Using his powers, Vol' Karath can create an illusion so powerful that anyone trapped within it would swear that it was true. If they attempted to attack the illusion, their attacks would be of no use, but should the illusions attack, the damage is very real. In some cases, any damage done to the illusions might be reflected to the attacker.
Shadow Walk
Using the shadows of Darkness to mask his presence, Vol' Karath can shield himself sufficiently to fool anyone, even if he was standing right in front of them. In order for this to work to its full effect, it would have to be in darkness. If he used this in the day, it would have been far too obvious as the place would be shrouded in darkness.
Weapons:
Scepter of Elements
Also known as the Aghanims Scepter, this Scepter can be used to unleash a part of the Elemental Fury inherent in the world. Summoning particles in the world to the Scepter, it releases when fully charged or whenever the user wishes it. It takes longer to reach fully charged as the particles need to be absorbed from the surrounding area. Doesn't affect the spells of others. It won't disrupt another person using, say, a fireball.
Artifacts:
Tome of the Ancients
Ever searching for power, Vol' Karath found this tome when he was searching the tomb of a long forgotten Arch-Mage. He barely escaped with his life. This tome contains scriptures, spells, incantations, rituals, potion recipes and many others who studies the arcane arts. Vol' Karath stores this book in a sealed environment with a grisly death awaiting those who attempts to steal it.
