Ok, in order to have more room to expand on ideas and such, many of the antagonists (Cao Cao, Dong Zhou, etc.) and protagonists (Liu Bei, Sun Jian, etc.) will be removed from existence in this rp. That way, we'll have more to expand on for our creativity. The setting is in the midst of the Yellow Turban Rebellion. Zhang Jiao (Yes, he's one of the few NPCs from the game that will stay) is rising in power as he gains hundreds of followers each day. The crumbling Han Dynasty is scurrying around trying to find Heroes who can stop him. Here's the template: Name (First name is family name, second is regular name): Age: Sex: Kingdom: Weapon: Armor: Number of troops in army (reasonably low number): Description: History: Here's mine Name: Sun Dai Age: 25 Sex: Male Kingdom: None Weapon: Ruination- images2.wikia.nocookie.net/dynastywarriors/images/6/63/Machao-dw6spweapon1.jpgArmor: images3.wikia.nocookie.net/dynastywarriors/images/d/d7/Fu_Xi_WO2_Render.jpgNumber of Troops in Army: 2,500 Description: A quiet man, speaks more through his actions than words. A brilliant strategist. Completely merciless to his enemies. When in battle, he counts the number of kills he has to intimidate his enemies. History: Having no kingdom to hail from, Sun Dai and his army are mercenaries for hire, but he is planning on taking over land to make way for the kingdom he sees in his dreams. Sun Dai and his men were marching through some forest he didn't know the name of. He was enjoying the pleasant day when a soldier ran up to him. "Sir! There is a small army marching our way! What should we do?" "Split the army up so we flank them. Leave 100 troops with me in the center so the enemy believes that we are weak. Hurrry!" Dai answered. His army hurriedly rushed into the forest, hiding themselves so well that Dai couldn't even see his troops. He looked at his 100 soldiers. "Now we wait." The small army his soldier told him about was about a hundred yards away now. Dai began walking towards the head of the enemy army. Soon, he could see the intricate armor of the man that was obviously the leader. Dai rushed ahead, bringing out his sword. "Surrender and you shall be spared. Put up a fight and we will have to kill every last one of you. Give me all your money and we'll be on our way." Dai shouted. "What? You and what army?" a soldier standing next to the enemy leader shouted. "This one." Dai motioned to the forest, and immediately his troops surrounded the enemy army. "Now, your money."

Name: Liu He Age: 20 Sex: Male Kingdom: None... yet Weapon: media.photobucket.com/image/cool%20sword/Aiko-one-of-the-seven-deadly-sins/CoolSword.jpgArmor: roeljovellanos.com/cblog/uploads/characters/BruteDragonArmor.serendipityThumb.jpgNumber of troops in army: 1500 Description: Strong and burly, but has an incredibly smart mind. Inspires his soldiers through speeches and battle actions. History: Born in the province of Chang Sha, Liu He's father taught him martial arts. His father's hopes rides on him since he expects his son to be the person that changes the world. With an exceptional talent to the martial arts, his father began his tutelage on the Confucian studies. He thus developed his mind and began to show a cunning and smart side on him. Liu He laughed, and the bandit leader was getting angrier with this obvious insult to his dignity. Before he could speak another word, Liu He waved his arm, the pre-assigned signal to his archers. The archers nocked their arrows, ready to fire at any given moment. "You think that only you know how to ambush people?" asked Liu He. "You are not the only one with brains." "We can still fight our way through." persisted the bandit chief. "And you will die trying. My troops have followed my training regime and they're the toughest fighting force ever." Liu He looked over at the bandit chief and his troops. An idea had struck him and he wasn't sure whether it was viable or not, but he could use all the help he could get. "I'm now en route to intercept the Yellow Turbans." announced Liu He. "I'm quite interested in enlisting your help." "What's in it for me?" asked the bandit chief defiantly. "Gold, and probably an Imperial Pardon for your bandits." "Tempting."

Sun Dai realized what he was doing, and realized that he was being what he vowed to never be, a bandit. Never before had he referred to himself as a bandit, but then again, he called himself a mercenary when he was paid for his services. He felt a sharp pain of shame at the thought of what he had turned into. He decided he had to make amends for his actions.
"Very well, I accept. On two conditions: One, do not take my army or I to be bandits, merely mercenaries in a rough time. And two, there had better be gold at the end of this." Sun Dai said. "Agreed. Welcome aboard." "I have not yet told you my name. I am Sun Dai, and I am the leader of my mercenary army." "Well met. I am Liu He." "Liu He, I will serve you to the best of my abilities." Sun Dai said, bowing.

While Liu He led his troops towards Yingchuan, Runan to deal with the Rebellion, he engaged himself with Sun Dai, whom, Liu He quickly found to be quite smart and honorable. It was such when they discussed stratagems long into the night as the hours passed unheeded. Their troops mingled along well and morale was high, as they were in anticipation of a battle. They passed some villages and their forces quickly grew in numbers as the volunteers joined their ranks. It was heartening to see that there were still loyal men in the country.
However, their quickly rising numbers also gave way to some problems. Their food supply depleted quickly, and this concerned Liu He as he read the reports. He discussed this with Sun Dai, and he too agreed with the necessity of increasing their food supply. Taking too much from the masses would be disastrous, and thus they sent troops into the forests to hunt for animals and kept to the rivers. They rationed the food and limited the food intake. Morale dropped.
Three days later, when they saw the gates of Yingchuan in the distance, they cheered. Liu He and Sun Dai breathed a sigh of relief. Food are of abundance there, and the granaries there would have enough to support the army and the people inside. Once they were inside, Liu He quickly enforced some rules upon his and Sun Dai's army. They were to help the masses, not destroy them, therefore no robbing and stealing. They quickly settled in and waited for the Yellow Turbans to arrive. Sun Dai led the training regime daily, perfecting their soldiers battle prowess.

Sun Dai had been training his troops to the best of his ability, and the soldiers were turning up rather nicely. He could only train them the basics of combat, for he didn't have enough time to teach them the finer techniques of combat. He was sure his own troops, as well as Liu He's, would be able to fight against the finer soldiers the despicable Yellow Turbans had to offer.
It had been nearly a week since their growing army had arrived at Yingchuan when one of Sun Dai's scouts came rushing into the tent where Sun Dai and Liu He were devising a defense strategy. The scout had an arrow in his arm.
"Sirs! The Yellow Turbans are within hours away! What do we do?" the scout asked. "Calm down." Sun Dai said. "We need to devise a defense strategy." "Yes. Get the archers on the walls. Prepare the men for battle." Liu He said. "I'm on it."
Sun Dai rushed out of the tent, and rang the gong that was to signal an attack. He heard the rushing sounds of his troops rushing to their positions for the fight. Sun Dai walked himself past the gates and out in front of the city surrounded by his best troops.
Before long, he saw the Yellow Turbans begin running towards their defensive positions. The Yellow Turbans were shouting like madmen, but Sun Dai's well-disciplined troops were silent, by far more intimidating than the shouts from the Yellow Turbans. Sun Dai took a step forward when they were within archery range, and signaled the archers to start firing. The battle had begun.

(OOC: Normally battles don't start this early. They'd camp first. But, it's ok.)
Liu He watched the archers rain down arrows on the enemy, thinning their ranks considerably. However, the Rebel numbers were strong, and they quickly crossed towards the city walls. There, the soldiers poured scalding oil and threw rocks down at their opponents. They used scaling ladders to scale the wall, and Liu He quickly ordered his own soldiers to push the ladders down. Behind him, he heard the citizens of the city provide much needed help, from passing the rocks to sending missives.
After a while, the attacks ceased, and in confusion, the coalition troops also ceased their attacks. At the rear of the army, a man on a horse shouted to them.
"Surrender your city and your lives might be spared!" shouted the leader. Liu He laughed. "If you are hard enough, come take it!"
With a roar, the attacks started again, but this time, Liu He knew where to strike. He unsheathed his bow and nocked an arrow. He aimed at the leader, and pulled at the bow with all his might. He released it a few heartbeats later, and saw, with great satisfaction, the leader struck at the ribs. It was all that was needed to repel the attack, as the Rebels were thrown into disarray.
"Nice shot." remarked Sun Dai from behind him, who was busy organizing the militia. "Thanks. I used to hunt with my father when I was a kid."
Sun Dai nodded with a slight smile, and returned to the troops. Liu He himself decided to prepare the defenses. They would be back, and they would lay siege to the city.
Let them come. Liu He thought grimly. I will let them know the fury of my troops.

Name (First name is family name, second is regular name): Kumiko Sakura Age: 22 Sex: Female Kingdom: none Weapon: farm4.static.flickr.com/3351/3663518741_4cee15f354.jpgShe also has a belt full of assassin weapons on her waist, kunai, shuriken, etc. Armor: Being an assassin, she wears a special robe that changes. In daylight or in lighted rooms, it's white, when it's night, or she's in a dark room, it changes to black. Her face is normally never seen, as it is hidden by a kitsune mask that looks like this: fc04.deviantart.com/fs23/f/2008/012/d/0/Kitsune_Mask_by_makux.jpgNumber of troops in army (reasonably low number): none, she travels alone Description: She has smooth, pale skin, and black, short hair. When the mask is removed, she has a well-defined face with bright green eyes. History: Her history is jumbled up in pieces, but she remembers only one piece, the night the Yellow Turbans assassinated her mother and father when she was young. Kumiko had fled into the woods during the event so the men wouldn't kill her as well. During her long life in the woods, she made friends with a small white fox that she carried around with her everywhere and named him Chiisai. Chiisai had been the runt of the litter when he was young, and his friends and family teased him because of his size. He ran away and became friends with Kumiko. Now, he is a huge, white fox that Kumiko can ride around, and Kumiko went back to her old house, and saw it had been burnt down by the Yellow Turbans. A few items survived, her father's dual katanas, one with red markings and one with black markings, and a large metal chest. Inside it was her mother's special clothing, the changing robe, as well as the kitsune mask she wore. Kumiko donned these, and now, as an expert assassin, she now seeks out the men who murdered her family. ( k, I don't really know how to come in right now, can someone bring me in, please?)

Sun Dai cleaned his sword while he was reorganizing the peasant militia. He only killed thirty-two Yellow Turbans, which was depressing compared to other battles he had fought in. He finished cleaning his sword and organizing the militia. It would be a while for the Yellow Turbans to get a new leader and attack again. In the meantime, Sun Dai tried walking through the town to find some kind of pub to relax in for a while.
Sure enough, he found one. He went into the pub, and took a seat at a table. Looking around, he noticed a shadowy figure leaning against one of the walls. A large fox was sitting by her side. Getting up, Sun Dai began walking over to her to make sure she wasn't a Yellow Turban spy. His hand unconsciously drifted to his sword hilt.
"You! What are you doing here?"

Kumiko was leaning casually against a wall in the pub. It was pretty bright inside, so her robes became white to match the lighting. Chiisai rubbed his head in her hand, and she gently patted his head in return. Almost as if appearing out of thin air, a man walked up to her. He looked her over as if she was an alien who didn't belong. Chiisai saw his hand drift to his sword, and curled his lips in a silent snarl. " You! What are you doing here?" the man demanded. Kumi looked up at him through the kitsune mask that always hid her face, " My business here is of no importance to you, I am just resting." The man asked, " Are you one of the Yellow Turbans? If so, prepare, I will have your blood on my sword before you can even blink for a tenth of a second." Her face scowled behind her mask, " That name still spites me to this day. No, I don't work for that bunch of filthy packrats, they've done something to me, and I'll never forgive them, not even after I've had my vengeance." The man's hand drifted away from his sword hilt, but only slightly, " What have they done to you?" She stared at him for a long moment, then said, " They ruined my entire childhood, they took away what was most precious to me, and I won't stop until I've hunted down and killed each and every last one of those thrice-damned dogs."

(OOC: The pubs are usually called taverns, as it's part motel and part pub. It's also where people gather around to spread the news or something.)
Liu He was in his quarters, reading a report that came from his own informants. As it was, the Yellow Turbans were growing in numbers in each passing day, and their leader, Zhang Jiao, was nowhere to be seen. It would be too much to hope for him to be dead, since Zhang Bao and Zhang Liang were pretty much up and about. Indeed, if Zhang Jiao was dead, then the Rebellion would be without a leader.
Liu He sighed. He pitied the farmers and former soldiers forced to rebel. If the Imperial Court would just listen, and not let the Ten Eunuchs rule the court... Be that as it may, the people of the country should be loyal to it. There are more bloodless ways to change the country. He just wished that someone capable would rise up and rule better.
